Ebook Review – Shattered – Karl Jones

Shattered - Karl JonesThe author Karl Jones definitely has a good understanding of a whodunit in this Murder Mystery, set in a sleepy village in England he perfectly crafts suspicions amongst many as Police Officers Underwood and Harp clue the pieces together with guilty finger clearly pointing at author Jason Denton after a number of young girls are found brutally murdered.

Razberry Rating:

Yes its graphic and has some bad language but it’s a murder story and the writer has done a great job of keeping the plot going at a nice pace with your mind constantly trying to figure out who the killer is.

Shattered is a really entertaining read and could quite easily be a TV series! For entertainment value alone its worth 5 stars.

About the author….in his own words

In the dark of the night and the still of the evening you'll find Karl Jones writing furiously to exercise his dark muse to the delight of his fans.

Specializing in Crime and Horror thrillers, he refers to himself as a loner, haunted by the stories he pens and driven to push the boundaries until all lovers of the genres have no choice but to sleep with one eye open.

Karl explores the dark side of humanity and turns the stories of some of the most depraved into literature you'll have no choice but to read with one eye on the door and every light in the house on.

From where do you get your inspirations for your characters and storylines in your books?

I don't really know where I get my characters and storylines from; it seems as if I discover new ideas everywhere I look, more than I have the time to work on.

What are your favourite books?

My favourite books are the Harry Potter series, and the Jack Ryan novels by Tom Clancy, not to mention Dirk Pitt by Clive Cussler.

What are the best and worst things about being a writer?

The best thing about being a writer is being able to express yourself, and drawing an emotional response from readers. The worst is everything that comes with the writing, and which you don’t learn about until after you publish.

Tell us a little bit about your books, who they are aimed at, and where people can buy them?

My books are primarily available at Amazon but are gradually being released elsewhere to reach people with every possible type of ereader.

I write dark thrillers/police procedurals and scifi for the most, so my work appeals to a wide range of people. With my thrillers/police procedurals I try to inject a heavy dose of gritty realism, which some people may find a little graphic.
